Pre-built, fully supported, non-GPL commercial software

Version 3.4-11 of QM can be downloaded here. See also Resources and Solutions for applications, tools, external connectors and user contributed source code.

In most cases only the first downloadable item listed below for the relevant platform is needed. The QMClient components are separately downloadable for all platforms for situations where the client and server are different.

Right click on the Download text and select Save Target As. (Mac users should hold down the Apple key and click). Alternatively, we can supply software on CD subject to a small extra charge. The software will not operate without a valid authorisation code.

If you are upgrading from a previous release, simply install the new version over the top of the old version.

VIRUS WARNING
All software distributed by Ladybridge Systems is checked for viruses before release to the web site or on disk using the latest version of the award winning NOD32 AntiVirus definitions. Because of the high rate of new virus threats, there may be viruses that were in circulation but not included in these definitions when the software was released. Although we take steps to avoid virus contamination, we strongly recommend that users downloading software should apply their own anti-virus precautions before installing the software.

Update Notification

To receive an automatic notification by email when a new version of QM is available, visit the Email Subscription page. Notifications are sent for major and minor releases (see below) but not usually for fix releases.

Release Numbering

Every QM release is identified by a number such as 3.4-11 where this comprises the major release, the minor release and the build number.

Major releases correspond to the introduction of significant new functionality. Although we try to avoid incompatible changes, it may be necessary to recompile application software or to run a file conversion tool when the major release number changes.

Minor releases correspond to the introduction of significant new functionality with a lower internal impact than a major release. Applications developed on previous releases will usually continue to run without recompilation or conversion of files. Programs that make use of new features may not be portable back to previous releases.

The build number, reset at each minor release, identifies the specific product build. It is our policy to issue new versions very frequently to include new features or to fix problems reported by users. Whilst users do not need to take every release, it is recommended that users should upgrade to the latest build periodically or when a feature of interest appears in the What's New page.

Open source for the OpenQM product

This is provided under the terms of the General Public Licence. Please read the licence carefully before downloading the software to ensure that you do not accidentally breach its terms which could result in you having to make your own developments open source too. Source is currently only released for the Linux version of the product and may be very out of date compared to the commercial product. In common with all open source software released under the GPL, the source code is supplied with absolutely no warranty and no support. To visit the open source download page, click here.
